Simple Kat combines art with technology. Located in sunny Clearwater Florida, the company provides web design and maintenance services specializing in websites for creative people and organizations, as well as photography, sculpture, and online arts information and sharing.

The owner of Simple Kat Inc, Kathy McKinnon, has over twenty years of experience in software design and development for large corporations and the Department of Defense. The last three years of which focused on web application design and development. She has also written successful proposals and white papers, given presentations and demonstrations at conferences, and managed projects and people. Throughout her career working for the government and corporations, McKinnon has received numerous awards and letters of appreciation for technical achievements and customer responsiveness.

In addition to her career as a software developer, McKinnon, has been creating works of art since she was a young child. In her youth, she created art in pencil, pastel, water color and acrylic and experimented with ceramics, candle making, and batik. One of her drawings was selected for the Florida State Art Show and travelled the U.S. for two years. Though McKinnon started out an art major in college, she switched to computer science and received a bachelor degree in computer science with a minor in art. For the last several years her creative work has focused on photography and sculpture.
